Cohesive Close-Knit. Positive School Community. Supports Teachers and Classrooms.

The mission of the Family Association is to nurture a cohesive, positive school community and offer support to teachers and classrooms.

Welcome, Families of MSGH!

2026/27 Welcome Letter Here

Like many Parent Associations, we want to engage our current parent base, but as a Family Association (FA), we also strive to encourage involvement from extended family and friends in supporting the mission of MSGH. By strengthening these bonds, we hope to achieve greater school support through a variety of volunteer contributions, which in turn, will increase the social connections that create our close-knit community. If you are a member of the MSGH community, you are a member of the Family Association. The FA is led entirely by volunteers including a chair, a treasurer, an FA Events Cordinator, an FA Class Rep Coordinator, an FA Coffee Hour and Staff Appreciation Coordinator. In addition, there are volunteer class representatives for each classroom. There are many ways to get involved with the FA! We encourage you to reach out! You can reach out to the FA directly at [email protected]

Interested in volunteering or learning more? Please connect with MSGH's FA Liasion, Alex Rozenfeld, at 860-236-4565.

The FA hosts many events throughout the year. Stay tuned to your email for the Weekly Bulletin, which highlights all school-wide FA events, as well as emails from your classroom representative, which highlights classroom specific events.

Family Association Leadership

Isabel Harvey Camino

Family Association Chair

Isabel is a mom of 3 boys, and she grew up in Mexico City. She and her husband Shane moved to Hartford by chance, and found the community they were looking for in MSGH. Raising a bicultural family is easier when belonging to the diverse group our school provides. Isabel is a designer, works in innovation and loves art, music, nature and deep friendships. She is always up for a trip locally and internationally to see her kids enjoy the richness of our world.

Palka Patel

Family Association Treasurer

Palka joined the MSGH community in 2022 when her family moved to West Hartford, CT. She has two children attending the school.  Palka enjoys spending time with friends and family, traveling and finding new experiences.

Katelyn Herchel

Family Association Class Representative Coordinator

Kate has been a member of the MSGH community since 2022 and is excited to serve as the Class Representative and Email Coordinator for the Family Association for the 2026-2027 school year. Kate is the proud mother of two girls who have both thrived in the Toddler and Primary communities at MSGH. Kate and her husband are expecting a third child, a boy, in August of 2026. Outside of attending MSGH events, the Herchels enjoy spending time with extended family and being outdoors.

Sara Randall

Family Association Events Coordinator

Sara Randall is the mother of two children in lower elementary - a first and third year - who have been at MSGH since 2021. When the opportunity to move back to Connecticut emerged, she and her husband chose West Hartford so that their children could attend MSGH and the family could be part of a Montessori community.
