William Strempfer

Facilities Manager

Democracy begins at birth. The child must know what is going to happen to him, that he will not be seized suddenly, that his permission will be asked first.
-Maria Montessori
Billy Strempfer brings a lifetime of service, skill, and dedication to his role as Facilities Manager at the Montessori School of Greater Hartford. A Navy and Air National Guard veteran from Connecticut, Billy began his career as an electronics technician specializing in radar. His second career is the fire service where he has served for decades, most recently as Captain. In January 2025, Billy formally joined MSGH as Facilities Manager (his third career!), though his connection to the school stretches back many years. He was an MSGH parent from 2004 to 2017 and is the proud parent of MSGH Alum and current UCONN Law student, Emma.

He oversees every detail that keeps the campus running smoothly—from plumbing and heating to ensuring classrooms are safe, comfortable, and ready for the children.

Beyond his professional role, Billy is full of unique talents and interests. He is an avid music fan, has a keen interest in history, builds hand crafted furniture and enjoys fabrication projects of all kinds. Most of all, he values hard work, staying active, and bringing a positive outlook to the school community each day.
