Toko Blais Odorczuk

Director of Admissions and Advancement

“The purpose of education must be to elevate the individual; otherwise education would be of no use. This must be the goal of education. We must wish to love humanity, instead of merely wanting to apply a preconceived plan.” - Montessori, Maria. The 1946 London Lectures.

Toko has been a part of the MSGH team since 2001, serving the school in numerous capacities. In addition to being a Primary Assistant and later a Toddler Guide, Toko ran an afternoon music program for the elementary students and at one point, oversaw the Adolescent Music Program which included teaching music theory. Toko has supported our Board with their administrative duties and was instrumental in coordinating our CAIS Accreditation Self-Study.

As an AMI Auxiliary Trainer, Toko offers numerous child/parent classes, is a guest lecturer at area universities and organizations and is a mentor not only to our Toddler staff but also to current and future Montessori educators.

Toko holds a BA in English Literature and Music Theory/Composition. Her AMI diploma is from The Montessori Institute in Denver, Colorado and she is a certified Instructor of Infant Massage. She has participated in the Fundraising School, in connection with the Lily School of Philanthropy. Toko partners with the Montessori Training Center Northeast to support the training of future Montessori Teachers.

Her hobbies include photography, biking and traveling with her children and husband, reading, and day dreaming of days when sleeping in was an option.
