Sarah McCabe

Upper Elementary Teacher

“Nothing brings me more joy than seeing children boldly explore the world and take it in for all its worth.”

Sarah joined the MSGH community in 2012 as an Assistant in the Lower Elementary Classroom. She earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology with a minor in Criminal Justice from the University of Connecticut.  She was the recipient of the Award for Academic Achievement given by the Delta Gamma Fraternity at the University of Connecticut, and was a member of the Psi Chi International Honor Society in Psychology, the Order of Omega Greek Honor Society and the Pan-Hellenic Women’s Group, all at the University of Connecticut.  After working in the Lower Elementary classroom for three years, Sarah pursued the AMI Montessori Training at the Washington Montessori Institute in Baltimore, Maryland.  Once she earned her AMI Diploma as a certified Elementary teacher, she then went on to complete a Master Degree in Elementary Education through Loyola University.

Sarah enjoys her position as the Upper Elementary Guide because, she says, she learns just as much from the students as they learn from her.
