Renée Lewis-Lockhart

Primary Three Teacher

“He learns everything without knowing he is learning it, and in doing so he passes little by little from the unconscious to the conscious, treading always in the paths of joy and love.” Maria Montessori

Renee Lewis-Lockhart began her Montessori journey when her eldest son, at three years old, joined a Primary community. Inspired by the philosophy, she earned her AMI diploma from The Montessori Training Center of New England in 2005 and afterwards joined the Montessori School of Greater Hartford (MSGH) as the Primary Three Teacher.

Renee’s commitment to Montessori has only grown over the years. Today, she serves the broader community as an AMI Primary Consultant and is currently undertaking the AMI Training of Trainers program to help guide the next generation of educators. Her background is well-rounded, combining classroom expertise with a Bachelor of Science in Business Management from the University of Hartford and SEED diversity training.

Renee is a wife, mother of four, and grandmother of two. She prioritizes spending time with her family, going for long walks, going out to dinner, or escaping to the movies.
