Migdalia Sabalier
Toddler Assistant
" Education is the best weapon for peace."
-Maria Montessori
With over twenty years of teaching experience, Migdalias Sabalier has dedicated the past four years to serving as a Spanish Teacher Assistant at the Montessori School of Greater Hartford and now leads the Afternoon Enrichment Program. She holds an associate degree in Early Childhood Education and a business degree from The National Puerto Rican Forum.
Migdalias’s passion for Montessori began when she observed toddlers in the classroom. Their deep focus, independence, and joy in learning stood out in contrast to other educational approaches. After guiding toddlers through their earliest stages of independence, she now brings her expertise to older children—creating a prepared environment that encourages self-direction, collaboration, and a sense of peace during the afternoon hours.
Beyond the classroom, Migdalias embraces life with the same energy and joy she brings to her teaching. She loves salsa dancing and karaoke, enjoys hiking and camping, and makes the most of winter breaks by snowboarding. Some of her favorite moments are the simple ones—sitting on her front porch with a good book and a cup of coffee.
