Lauren Casey

Adolescent Teacher

The study of man is most important today. It must be in every syllabus for children, from the age of seven through university. Man must grow up and consciously strive to know reality. This is the moral development of the child.

Lauren Casey joined Washington Montessori School in 2017 and most recently served as Middle School Head Teacher and Advisor (2022–2025). In this role, she designed and taught interdisciplinary curriculum in Science, Pre-Algebra, Micro-Economy, and Life Skills, guided 12–15 students as their advisor, and managed Polar Pizza, a student-run micro-economy project that built teamwork and entrepreneurial skills. She also planned field trips and overnight excursions that promoted independence and community.

Previously, Lauren supported the school as Upper Elementary Associate Teacher (2018–2022), coordinated and taught in the Elementary and Early Childhood summer programs (2024), and began as a Middle School Art Room Assistant. Before WMS, she was a Co-Teacher at Sharon Day Care, where she worked in the Toddler Classroom and partnered closely with families.

Outside of school, Lauren enjoys gardening, Tae Kwon Do, reading, cooking, and creating projects with her children. She lives in Sharon with her daughter Addie (10), son Ronan (6), and their cat, Odie.
