Deboráh Velasquez

Elementary Assistant

“Through my eyes as a mother of a Montessorian and an Elementary Assistant, I enjoy being able to share my artistic talent and love of nature with each and every child who I am able to inspire each day.”

Deborah is a Brooklyn original, whose family originates from Puerto Rico. She brings her love of Spanish to the classroom each day. Deborah is a Colorado Institute of Art graduate, an Executive Director for Guakia, a Puerto Rican Cultural and Arts Center and also a designer for Spanish Language Books at Houghton Mifflin in Boston. She joined MSGH in 2017 and for the last three years she has worked in our Adolescent program and Elementary program. Deborah is currently an assistant in our Upper Elementary Classroom where she shares her passion for art, gardening and culture.

In her spare time, she explores the wooded hills of New England with her husband and two sons. As a Master Gardener, she enjoys planting and getting her hands in the soil!
